Powerful Performance

The Slimnote GX utilizes the latest Intel Pentium^® II 300PE, 333, or 366MHz processors. The notebook features up to a 10GB of hard drive capacity, an optional built-in 56 Kbps modem and 2 PC Card slots with integrated CardBus and Zoomed Video and a fast infrared port. A built-in 24X CD-ROM - interchangeable with a 2X DVD-ROM drive - rounds out Slimnote GX's all-in-one design.

Great Graphics

Slimnote GX incorporates the latest 2X AGP-bus interface, which is the best 3D engine available in a notebook. It's an impressive four times faster than the fastest PCI bus VGA. This is backed up by 4 MB of video RAM operating over a 64-bit memory bus. The VGA chip of Slimnote GX offers sublime visual entertainment that's complemented by a Hardware DVD accelerator with MPEG II support. This allows you to watch full-screen video without dropping frames.

You can enjoy video or any other multimedia experience on Slimnote GX's bright 1024 x 768 pixel built-in 13.3" or 14.1"(XGA) TFT screen. You can also connect the notebook to an external monitor or television via built-in ports.

Advanced Audio

Multimedia performance is further enhanced with the incorporation of PCI Audio into the Slimnote GX. The ESS Maestro-2M PCI audio into the Slimnote GX. The ESS Maestro-2M PCI audio module is the latest industry standard, compatioble with 16-bit Sound Blaster Pro, and supported by Microsoft DirectAudio and Direct 3D for use in Windows NT 5.0 or Windows '98 systems. It features integrated 3D audio effects as well as dual channel full duplex operation.

Very Versatile, Extremely Expandable, Ultimately Upgradeable...

The Slimnote GX comes with an Intel MMC2 CPU module which allows for quick and easy upgrades. Look for new higher speed CPUs to come out in the near future. In addition, this notebook's modular design allows for various choices. The notebook can be fitted with anywhere from 32 to 256 MB of RAM. The modular hard disk drive can be easily removed and replaced with an alternate drive. Buyers also have the choice of 24X CD-ROM or 2X DVD-ROM, depending on their needs . Also available in the Slimnote GX is an LS-120 drive,which reads and writes to 120MB Superdisks as well as standard 3.5" floppy disks.The most obvious expandability option for the notebook is the proprietary Port Replicator, which duplicates all of the connectors that are available on the rear side of the notebook and adds in one extra PS/2 port, one stereo line-out connector and a Game/MIDI port.

Complete Communication

Slimnote GX can be easily configured as a portable communication center. The optional 56 Kbps fax/modem facilitates dial-up networking for high-speed Internet access. Using the full duplex sound system and built-in microphone and stereo speakers, the Slimnote GX can be installed with voicemail and speakerphone functions. For office connectivity, network connections are possible through the fast 32-bit CardBus slots. Finally, a fast infrared port allows wireless file transfer and printing to other infrared-enabled systems including a wide variety of notebooks and portable printers.

Top-notch Technology

Slimnote GX supports all the new functions provided with Windows 98 operating system. Power management is optimized with Advanced Power Management(APM). Whenever the notebook's processor is not operational for a short time, the processor becomes idle so that it consumes less power. When the processor resumes working, it returns to full speed almost instantaneously with no loss of performance. Slimnote GX also supports Twinhead patented (pending) Battery Auto Calibration, which monitors and optimizes battery use the touch of a key, ensuring longer battery life.

Sophisticated and Streamlined

Slimnote GX packs the most sophisticated all-in-one technology available in a surprisingly compact case. The notebook weighs only 3.1 kg and measures only 310mm x 250mm x 41mm. It's slimmer and lighter than most other notebooks while providing superior performance and convenience.
